Drilling is out of the question.

A sump can be made out of any fish tank by just adding baffles, check out this website, Melevsreef, he has allot of designs that are made out of Cast acrylic but you will get the general Idea.

As far as Overflows there are may different types, some good and some not so good. from what I can tell the general consensus of opinion is that this type is the best - siphon overflow box

But most important is read, learn and GO SLOW.......and enjoy!
