Red algae turning greyish? The red algae I have all over the bottom of my tank is starting to turn to a grayish color and it is starting to get a hairy texture. I have tried everything/ move powerheads, chemiclean, frequent water changes with vacumming. Will somebody help. I have about 30 sand sifting snails but they are just not cutting eat. Anyother advice and what type of algae is it?
