I think maybe its easier to put all your corals and fish in a temporary sump. Then take the rocks out and try and get as much algae off as possible then, run your tank for a month or 2 with the lights off.Sounds drastic but I think it will eliminate the algae (at least thats what turbo4603 is doing) Maybe Tangster or others with more experience can chime in later. _________ 90 gallon tank with center overflows, 44 gallon custom sump/fuge, Tek T5 retrofit 4x54 bulbs, Reef Octopus nw200 protein skimmer, Iwaki WMD40RLXT return pump (changed to panworld 100pxx),Knop c ca reactor, PA light house controller.
