I have used it many times in Friends and family systems last was a few months ago. I've never had any problems with it.. Trick is to have a good grade of carbon and several recharges near buy .. The Mag 350 is the better pump or one along that design line you have to move lots of water through the carbon fast.. Trick is to act as soon as you see them to many just procrastinate and allow them to increase in numbers.. then the more their are the worse the toxin release will be..
My Son in law was like that until they where just everywhere.. My daughter never lets him forget LOL I told when I first saw them just a few what to do.. Is R/C research just confused him.. until it was to late.. They won't just go away.. I just use the carbon never messed with the water changes.. Just like when treating with heart guard and acro red bugs.. Just carbon and skimmer I've never experienced any of the horror problems I have read about with that treatment either
