Default Wtb Skimmer for 55 Reef

Hello all. I am hoping to purchase a skimmer that is suitable for my 55 reef tank. An octopus nw110 or of similar caliber specifically. I am on a tight budget and am a full time student at UF without any outside income besides parents so nothing over the top please. Go gators! All offers are welcome! Thank you for your time.

I actually contemplated that but didn't want to go through the trouble of making a skimmer that might not work. I have a wet dry filled with live rock down bottom baller.

You use a sump then if you have a wet dry. How much foot print of a skimmer can you fit in there ? What type and size of main pump do you use

I have been offered a pacific coast 100 skimmer but I haven't heard much about them. The pump is a ca1800 7" h x 2.5" w 4.5" long. the dry side is about 12"L x 6.25"W x 17"H. I think i'm just going to switch to a 20 long.

A 10 will do also I never saw the need for the baffles just takes up room for other needed things . get a red sea Berlin classic you won't find any better ..and will last you years and take you to a larger tank.. its a great skimmer..Used them for many many yrs on anything from 200 gallons and down. The X.L will go up to 400 easily I ran one on a 350 gallon set up and never missed a beat ,,
