i have a wet dry filled with live rock down bottom. Baller was the username of another fella lol sorry about that man.

try a coralife. i have the 65 gallon version and im happy with it, but then again its the only skimmer i ever had...

the coralife skimmers are great if you are on a budget. although they need some modification to work at their best like removing the bubble diffuser and replacing it with a slotted pvc. and weaving fishing line around the impeller(sort of like a meshmod)

I think i'll run skimmerless until xmas comes around. I think i'm going to go with the octo nw110 and do the mesh and gave valve mod to it. Do you guys know how to tap a collection cup in order for it to drain into a larger bucket?

you can just drill a hole sligtly smaller than your threaded peice and just thread into the plastic. although if your skimmer ever goes crazy it could drain your tank and you could have a big mess.

check up on it once and while and make sure you don't have the water level inside to the top BTW, i just took the bubble diffuser off my coralife, all it did way flow over the top edge and let the micro bubbles invade my tank. Now its in the sump so i dont matter.
