I'm in the US but I got mine from the local hardware store. Wasn't eggcrate per say but it is a plastic material much like eggcrate. It is used for florecent lighting in many office buildings, about $8 for a sheet. Hope that helps.

Eggcrate per say is nothing more then light defuser that goes over light fixture. Look in any hardware store as stated before.

I said egg crate and they looked at me like I lost my mind. Light diffuser is the correct term.

rofl thnx guys ill go get some soon

quick dumb question though,
if its not called egg crate why does every 1 call it that?

i cant see anyway u could use with eggs at all

this also strengthens my statment about the LFS charging %200 markup
if ida said i wanted eggcrate id be pretty much bendin over and preparin to be shafted right

Ask for a 24x48 lighting grid or grate.. Look for a lighting supply house or a lighting retailer if you have a problem locating it at a hardware type store. John O should no a source he has lived all over down under LOL and has broken everything there is once (: Or his buddy Good ole Fowie Ing! Knows all LOL

It kind of looks like the old style holding racks used to clean and wash and sort chicken eggs back in the day.. Thats what I always assumed as my Grandmother had a small one on the old farm I spent my summers on washing eggs (: There was a reason to make them square rather then round holes also but i can't recall it now..
