pH hands down. According to the LFS, Nano's are notorious for low pH levels. Mine hovers between 7.8 - 8.0, even with frequent water changes. All other chems are ok.

I have never had a problem with temp, its always at 77-79, and I dont have a heater or a chiller. My only problem right now is alk( too high ) and my nitrates never at zero but never at a dangerous level( between 5-10ppm ) everything else is alright.

I've had nitrate problems but with the correct care and maintenance I have controlled it at 0 since april! My problem is now algae and alakalinity for some reason is such a b@!ch for me to keep at 8dkh let alone any higher. With supplements thats where my alk stays and my ca I can get up there anytime I want.

I do at least a thirty percent water change every 2-3 weeks, and only add two supplements (Purple up and Coral-Vite). I also use a combination of Washing soda and Baking soda in my top off water. Which from Tangster's post is probably the problem.

Thanks for the info,
Dustin

Temperature in the summer time. I have to use a large box fan to keep it around 80F. ( Latent heat of vaporization ) Sooner or later I will have to wire in an automatic thermostat for it like I use on my heater, but for now I just turn it on in the morning before I go to work.
The winter is the easiest. The heater works very well.
