Only buy specifically what I research and wanted 7 50.00%
Have a good knowledge of what I can and Can't keep so I can buy what catches my eye 7 50.00%
I talk to the LFS and they tell me if I can keep the Coral/Fish I'm interested in 3 21.43%
Put what catches my eye on hold then research it and pick it up 1 7.14%
Buy everything and through it in my tank then post on every site to see if it will live 1 7.14%
Buy everything then upgrade my lights, tank, Skimmer, etc. to supports my new coral/fish 1 7.14%

I get my fish and corals from my LFS, i actually i have 3 good LFS a 2 that i will go to just to look around but very rarelly buy anything, dont trust the live stock or the staff, good LR though. I havent tried mail order or ebay yet. I heard there was a good place near Vancouver J, www.jlaquatics.com. Ive been told is a good place but never tried it yet. Maybe you know it?

I pretty well know what I can and cannot keep, and will just ask LFS any additional info.


I have 2 decent ones that I trust. I am willing to pay extra (more than mail order etc) for the setup and info they both have! in order to keep stuff local to me!

Best Prices in Canada (I think) for hardware. Good livestock but not the best. They have a lot of my money. Really good people to deal with as well. They are always bringing in the latest and greatest stuff all high end.

I am meticulous about researching things to the point where not only do I know what I am going to get, but I will wait months until I see the perfect specimen...size, color and overall look.
