One of the biggest drags for me is having a pump jam, has that happened to you?

The only thing that makes mere mad than the pump jam is a PH coming off of its suction cups :-)

I have had pumps to jam more times then I care to recount LOL I as a rule try to take them down and service them at least once a yr. Just did them last weekend. At the Ca. and DK levels we run it takes toll on them and the seals and impeller's .. I have a skimmer now that I need to replace the venturi cone in water is so hard it wore it to large to create any pressure increase to allow the air to be drawn in to make bubbles..

Yup, I have had the powerheads suction breakdown and of course the powerhead has to land on a coral and blow other corals off of the rock they were situated on. I have also had my pump for my skimmer jam...

So far I've never had a pump jam but regarding power head suction cups letting go from the glass Marc (m_lacom99) "hit the nail on the head" with this little DIY device.

You can find it here:
DIY Magnetic PH holder

So cool ..... way 'ta go Marc.

Lots of Rio internals. No externals, although I fried a MD40 clone running it dry.
