It's been a while since I've spoken to my fish. I used to name them and say things to my Niger Trigger like, "Hey, Tom Petty!! Quit nipping at the live rock" I also used to ask my jawfish, Sol, if he'd like a shmear of cream cheese on a flake of food. When I accepted that they'd never have anything nice to say, I just stopped talking to them alltogether. I think it's better this way. This way we don't get too close.
