I don't like the crushed coral in my 100 gallon FOWLR but it was in there when I acquired it and so I let it be. |

| I like mine... its seachem. dont remember the exact name though. but its very very fine white sugar sand. almost too fine, talk about a sand storm when you put it in. got about 40lbs of it in the 20gal

Here is the 30 gallon, close up of the sand with a conch and a full tank shot, its nice contrast and is constantly moving with a single goby and single conch , the sand seems to settle on its own, not like the coral sand in the 100g.
I'll try and get some better pics up to show what I'm talking about, I don't know if it's good to be that loose or not but the burrowers like it and the damsels make caves under the liverock as they feel. |
