The new Warner Marine MF(Minimal Footprint) protein skimmers sport several innovative features. The MF 200 model shown below has an internal squeegee attached to a motor in the skimmer lid for fast cleaning and would make an interesting addition for you controller folks. Can you get a replacement at AutoZone? :) Anyway all MF models have new V.B.T. (Vertical Bubble Technology) drain in the middle to reduce turbulance and Italian Eden pumps that are incredibly efficient. The MF 200 has a 1020 L/H at only 17 watts. The MF 160 model runs at 850 L/H and 15 watts. Prices starting at $329 for a TBD model smaller than the 160. Shipping in December.

Those look kinda cool... so, it looks like the pump is in the skimmer base? Is there a way to remove the base to service the pump, I hope?

...looks like there are nylon screws on each of the four corners of the skimmer base.
