The details echoed in my head briefly before quickly exiting... "High powered CREE LEDs, experimental refugium light, pendants coming this summer.." I wish I could recall more. But the honest truth is all I could do was stare at the copious amounts of aluminum. Beautiful, polished aluminum laid on thick with groovy heat sinks. I became light headed. I knelt for a better view or was it to supplicate? I don't know. I just know that when I die I want Chris from Nanocustoms to make my coffin. Amen.

Tis a thing of beauty thats for sure

a solid block of aluminum is ground down to achieve those fins I believe
hence a lot of waste material which coupled with the prices on quality LEDS/ drivers etc results in the price tags we see.

The aluminum heat sinks are in no way practical, but dang that looks sweet!

Actually that is false Steve. All shavings are money in the bank. machinists sell that back and it greatly offsets the cost.

Prior to this industry Chris worked with designing efficient heat sinks for TEC units. Do you say the above due to you knowledge of thermal management, or just off the cuff guessing? You should see the software he and Clive use for this :)
