When I owned Planet Reef, Hydor did a demo for me. Quite impressive and very quiet.

a common complaint with most wavemakers is that you have to replace your powerheads every year as they get worn out. the reason these require new powerheads with different motors is that they never turn off completely......they just slow down to a crawl......and then they speed them up again. As a result, there's no sudden jerk on the impeller when the current is restored to that powerhead.

Thats why I like DC powerheads over AC ones.

Man, the price of the wm4 with 4 pumps is astronomical. We're talking around $700. Way to rich for me.
