Default Hydor Wavemaker 2

3reef got a look at the new Hydor Wavemaker 2 at the Global Pet Expo this weekend! Hydor has been listening to the feedback about their Koralia pumps on other wavemakers and the result is a very impressive new wavemaker made with the Koralias in mind.

Hydor Wavemaker 2

Hightlights:
* Wave or tide effects
* Pump mode settings - Alternate flow or synchronous flow mode
* Food button puts pumps on hold for 5 minutes
* Manual or automatic night with sensor (sold separately)
* Cooling fan

Hydor Wavemaker 2

I was told this product will be out in 2 weeks!
Also there will be a 4 pump model soon!
Cool stuff!

I didn't get a price sheet on this one. Just technical data and I can't quite remember the exact price from what the representative told me but I remember him making a comparison to another top shelf wavemaker and showing how, with the price of the pumps, the prices were competitive. So I am saying it was more than a cheapo - but you get what you pay for. And this one looked really nice to me - the fan was really quiet and the dials were nice. So were the waterproof connectors. I liked it a lot. Cool setup.

Glad to see people out there making this kind of stuff for us.

Will all become more affordable for great systems as time goes on.

Thanks for update Matt.

Frizza is moving on up!

Just noticed that it is now on the hydor website, so I wouldn't of thought it would be long until it hits the shelves. I am running a couple of Koralia's at the moment so I am also interested in this, the only downfall is that it wont work with the old pumps!
