| | 3reef Moderator | we could create a cool badge for below you name as the prize. It could rotate monthly and link to the winning picture.
This way we wouldn't need to hunt for prizes every month (It's a lot of work)

| Am curious as to format...each participant submits one photo per catagory per month?...
How to judge?...I think whoever is managing the contest should find an independent "judge" --- Maybe get an "expert" - i.e. Anthony Calfo? To make decision for us...
Another idea is get "volunteer" from a "expert photography" forum to judge pics for us...
Just a thought.
(am assuming we don't have any professional photographers among us) _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)
12 Gallon NanoCube - 24w stock PC 50/50 light "...nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank, only bad things happen fast..."

| "Historically", we've had members pick the best photo by vote. I'm pretty sure that this format will be used for this and future contests as well. Let me dig up the last contest we had and post a link. This contest is for everybody, regardless of skills or length of time in the hobby. I'll add the reef theme to the poll as requested by nemo I'll have to bounce the "noob/progress" idea around my brain for a bit to figure out how to work that if possible Thanks for the input everyone! |
