Why the server goes down by Matt Rogers!
Here is the deal.
Simply put, this server has memory issues.
It runs at max all day, spazzing with the swap space and then occasionally has a stroke.
3reef traffic is 10 times what it was last year. At one time, this server seemed like overkill.
But not now.
So a new server has been brought online recently (with 4 times the memory! a sexy bus and a BIG harddrive! Thanks goes to all that have supported 3reef during this time! ). But this server needs to be locked down and polished first. Then we have to move the site. Configure the DNS, move a few things we probably forgot, upgrade all the software, make sure everybody is happy and somehow sync up so we don't lose posts.
Then we are cooking with gas. 
This will happen NO LATER than July 1st.
It will be a geek marathon. But when done - 3reef will be stronger, faster, more dazzling than ever before. 3reef will eat Chuck Norris for breakfast. 3reef will breath fire and knock over cars with it's laser eyes.  
But until then, thank you for your patience and thank you for checking out 3reef.

I cannot go a day with out this site. I am here probably 3-10 times a day. Heck I come here before checking my email. Hey Matt, thanks for the update but most of all thanks for all your long hours and hard work keeping things running on 3reef!
Glad to hear that soon "3reef will breath fire and knock over cars with it's laser eyes" sounds like fun to me! LOL
