When I had my fish only tank I went on vacation for 10 days, one of my cats must have unplugged my lights somehow. I was using an auto feeder but my neighbor was coming over to check on my tank and feed the cats everyday.
She never said anyting aobut the lights being off to me so they were off for the full 10 day's. I had pretty much the same list of fish but I also had a large Naso tang and a niger trigger and picaso trigger.
Except for the audible sigh I heard comming out of the tank
when I finally figured out what was wrong and the absolute total lack of algae, and I mean absolute! there was no ill effects from the lack of light.
