As for the Misnomer closed loop that would be a good idea but its a open loop (: recirculating system.. A Car's Radiator or house boiler is a closed loop.. Its just another term the aquarium experts came up with as they had not a idea as to what they think they had invented or what the term C/Loop meant and how it is defined .. Might want to conside a oceans motions for that tank also to give it a alternating water flow ,As any steady water current with in these tanks all have a tendency to start to just swirl arouns in a circular pattern after a few hr.
