Are you sure the Finger Corals lean away from currents?? I haven't read this anyhere and I have spent the last 4 hours reading about this type of coral.

So if this is true, how can I fix the problem? I dont want him to be uncomfortable! I can re-direct the nozzle but that is not going to change the fact that the current is still coming from the left.

BTW, this species is supposed to like a strong current...

Im confused.

Thanks for your imput.

Yes, Amcarrig (moderator) is sure about your finger leaning the one direction because of current direction. Mine does the same.

I also have a 14 gal cube that I keep misc. stuff in. Good for low light softies as it is out of the box but the flow from the pump is poor. I retro fitted a small rio in the back compartment and boosted the flow 4 times what was in there. I then rigged the lock line fittings to fit a hydor-flow which knocked down the flow again but still considerably more than what was factory and now it swirls the water around in that little tank pretty good. Something like this would be good to try if your corals are leaning in one direction.

An upgrade in lighting might help also. My finger leather seems to want to stretch up to the light big and strong and then later in the day get much bigger and relaxed with a deeper color.

Ive been watching this thread develop and take into account your freshwater background. Flow, calcium, light...Its a whole new world when you are rollin in the salt!

What a great hobby!!! (addiction,obsession)

Can I get in on the Corona thing?
