However I'm sure the actual bulbs last long enough, but the thing is they DO lose luminosity over time. And as a result they lose their "growing" power and the corals that rely on the light for life can't photosynthesize like they used to when the bulbs were new. So the light may look as bright as ever, but it's not having quite the same effect on the corals as it used to.
So that's what I'm asking: How long before halides lose their PAR? Or luminosity? Or whatever the term may be? _________ 125 Gal Reef.
