Could someone explain what makes a mushroom a ricordea? Differences between a regular mushroom and a ricordea.

The reason I am asking, I bought a rock with a bunch of hairy mushrooms on it. The kid working there was like yeah it's got 2 kinds of mushrooms. The second kind look very much like the ricordea they were selling for $35 each.
