I use it myself! Based on the write-up on the actual mud from the Fiji Islands(offshore) and the many nutrients and living organisms found there, I think it is a good idea to use the mud.
I place the whole container in my tank on the bottom in a low flow area within my tank. I notice that my hermits, Cucumber and Conch snail hang out around there for food, I believe.
