HI Everyone,

I am just starting out with this hobby with absolutely no prior knowledge-other than what I have read so far and discussed with my Dad. He is the impetus behind this new hobby. He has had saltwater tanks in the past and just recently got back into the hobby with a nano tank that he is keeping stocked primarily with corals. Well once I saw that tank I thought is was absolutely awesome and I started asking all sorts of ?'s and mt Dad was so excited that I was into a hobby that he loved, my step-moher has gotten into, and that was related to natutal science. (He is a scientist himself and it has been his disappointment over the years that I lived with my Mom growing up and my interests laid more in the arts than in the sciences-so he jumped on this!) Anyway he came to my house Thursday to present my with an early birthday present- a Red Sea Max tank and stand! I have finally gotten everything up and running tonight and put my water and salt in-basically that is as far as I know how to get so far! So when I stumbled across this forum I knew it would be a great resource for me. I know I will be asking tons and tons of what may seem like silly questions but I am truly learning as I go along! Thanks in advance for your help!
