On using the Tsunami a cartridge of DI will absorb 6800 ppm of TDS if you tap water were 100 that 68 gallons of water per cartridge and each refill runs $12. If you make RO water that tds goes down to 2-4 and the DI produces 2000-3000 gallons of water at zero TDS.
