Iodine supplement, good water flow, 75-80 degree temp. and moderate lighting should allow you to be successful and it will in fact grow like crazy! I started off with a 3"Xenia that was attached to an Acropora Frag. Well, I now own about 20 Xenia colonies and they have grown and encompassed the whole left side of my 125gallon reef tank!
You should do fine!
