I only use IO, and never really had a problem with it. I mix 5g buckets a time, put a powerhead in it and in 10mins or less, its crystal clear.

9 times out of 10, you have to adjust the ph in your salt mix. I have heard that the new red sea pro coral salt has ph buffer already in it, but I have never used it so I have no first hand knowledge of it.
