It may be a chase and tag game for a few days abd it might look like one is trying to kill the other But I have never had but one tank in all my 40+ yrs of keeping mostly tangs to ever have one to actually just be so mean as to kill another. It was a HUGE old yellow that was hand raised by and an old lady customer of mine who had him in a 65 gallon alone for all of his life with her like 7 yrs then she passed and I inherited him and he never accepted another fish near him. They reminded me of the old lady with Tweetie Bird (:

We have right now a Hippo a powder blue , Convict, Rabbit, fox face sail fin and another tang I can't recall and I'm going to add a a couple more tangs later on as the tank ages.. Maybe a yellow ? or a shoal or orange shoulder and a scopas ? Also lots or rock work and hiding places makes it easier to do this as they need rock work to run into and get out of sight when need be.
