Default Hello from the great white north

Okay it's not so white but it's pretty great, except for the rain and the cold and the traffic sucks and rude people make me angry .... but other than that it's great.

I'm Doug, I live outside Vancouver BC and am in the process of setting up my tank. I just did a water test on it tonight and everything held together, the only problem is that the tank is about 1/4" out of level so I've drained it and will be levelling it out tomorrow.

My tank is a 60 gallon cube, 24x24x24 with a home made 4.5 gallon external overflow on the back and a 27 gallon glass sump/refugium. I've got 250watt HQI plus some HO T5's for light on the tank, the refugium will have actinic and 4100k light on it on an alternate cycle to the tank. When the light is on in the refugium the skimmer will be on but it will be off during the day.

My stand is a homemade Red Oak, I've sealed the inside (hopefully it's sealed) so with a bit of luck it should last a good long time.

Doug
