I am fairly new I did see a review that was done on some of the more common mixes, things like ca++ and trace elements are important to reef keepers.

from a strictly chemical analysis it appears that kent has more of everything free carbonate and ca++ and more trace elementr making it last a little longer in your tank before depletion of trace elements ..
