amcarrig 3reef Moderator Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Wethersfield, CT Age: 39 Posts: 6,372 Karma: 4127	If you don't have to go too long between transfers, I would just put your existing rock in then add new sand and seed it with a cup or so of the sand from your "old" system. You can definitely expect a mini cycle because no matter how careful you are, you will have some die off on the rock during the transfer. Nothing to stress about though. Good luck and karma to you.
