wow, 0 - 2.5 is a huge difference, lol. Is your test kit that bad?? I always found that when my trates were above 10 I would get more algea growth. But even at 0-5 that I have now, I still get a thin light green film on my glass that I have to wipe away every few days. I thought it was normal tooo, lol.
