I "rescued" 4 goldfish from the animal sanctuary where I used to work. They were supposed to have been crocodile food, but the croc didn't go for them. They've been living in a planted 20 long in my classroom for almost 4 years now.
Dirty, filthy fish...but real easy to catch and use as live model of fish anatomy.
