Well the tank arrived March 30th.
So I thought now would be the time to start my thread on the construction of this beast.
I will try to document each step of my progress in during this set up. My goal is to have my the tank up and running by mid June.
So I'll start with the room. it was an "L" shaped den and I have taken over the "L" part. Fortunate the laundry room is right next to it. Great water and drain access.
you will also notice I have removed a lot of the crappy laminate floor.
I also needed to level the concrete underneath.

angle from the laundry room
I then tiled what will be the front of the tank

The stand was build from plans from a fellow reefer. TomR. Out of 2x4 and 2x6. Hey did you know 2x4s aren't actually 2inches wide. Who the hell came up with that.
here it is painted
OK so it was tank day. And you all want to see the tank

The gang from Hidden Reef who delivered the tank were amazing. Mike the owner, Dan the muscles and logistics, and Marc the driller and overflow builder. John AKA Willow was also a great help getting the tank in the house. Showing up just in time to ensure it was all perfect was Ivy and Callum. With there reassurances all was good.

It actually was a lot less painful than first anticipated. Once we decided to use a dolly C brought from work.. Thanks again all, I own you big time

This is the point we realized this thing isn't light. Fortunately we stole a dolly from work and were able to slip it over the tank.
And here it is getting it's first cleaning
The Tank looks great Hidden Reef did a great job. Marc drilled all the holes in the thing and it was an amazing job.
So next will be to pretty up the stand and build a false wall.
