Its a little hole about a 1/4" big or so,right below the water line on your return line from the sump. when the power goes out, gravity will pull water from the tank to the sump and flood your house.w/a hole there it will drain til air gets sucked in thru the lil hole breaking the siphon.just make sure your sump will hold the extra water.
Heres a pic. 1st hole was too low _________ 135g 3" SB 3- 400w MH, 2 65w PC actinic, 2 10K PC, 40g refugium, EV-180 PS ,Mag 18 ret,1700 PH,2 maxi 1200's air water and ice 5 stage RO/DI
