Question Who'd expected this?

Heard on the radio yesterday about some enviroment groups that want the old oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico removed to improve the view, I suppose. Sounds good to me also until some of these rigs were checked out. Some have been in place for decades. Guess what they found? Over the years these rigs just like sunken ships have become,------huge mini reefs. Yes corals, some never seen before, shrimp, and fish of all kinds up to 10,000 to 30,000 make a rig their home. There are at least 4000 old rigs in the Gulf producing habitat for Sea creatures which give the Enviromental groups a real problem. Push to have the rigs removed or be tagged as people that destroyed a part of nature?
