vdhillon Astrea Snail Join Date: Apr 2005 Age: 29 Posts: 43 Karma: 14	Re: Amount of live rock. hey gabe...i'm putting up a 10 gallon nano right now...cause the tank is smaller they say its better to have more live rock...so i'd say about 15 lbs is about right, but the more the merrier....the bioload is in essence the amout of waste a fish puts out...too many fish means a higher bioload...which is bad....having more live rock helps control the bioload by consuming the waste the fish put out... when you get new rock some it dies off...which becomes waste...which inturn increases the bioload...that is why others recommend you add the rock a little at a time. hope that helps
