thanks..
as for the skimmer .. doesn't sit in the sump? and pumps the sump water (from the overflow) into the skimmer unit and that produces skimmate. where does the output water go from the skimmer? do you divert it into another section of the sump where it gets pumped back into the tank or does it mix back in with the unskimmed water (from the overflow) until it rises high enough to flow over the baffle?

sorry I guess when my skimmer comes in, I will figure it out...
