Default Re: Just set up my tank

Well, as of now, it will be a FOWLR. Eventually, when I get better with water parameters, feeding, etc., I will start adding corals and the like. A 6x39 watt T5 fixture should be enough for corals correct, if you go 5 watts per gallon. I would have 234 watt, compared to my tanks need of 230. Also, T5 is brighter then a flourescent of the same wattage, like double the brightness I think. To think...If I only lived in Florida, I wouldnt have to pay all this cash for a saltwater fish tank...I could go on the reef, and try not to get eaten by a big shark.

_________

46 gallon bow front, 62lbs Fiji/Tonga live rock, 312 watts T-5 lighting, 75lbs sand. Seaclone 100.

Emerald Crab, Blue Leg hermits, Astrea Snails, Sand Sifting Star, Mini Brittles, 2 Ocellaris Clowns, 2 Blue-Green Chromis, 2 Yellowtail Damsels, 1 Blue Damsel, Sebae Anemone(getting huge).

Button Polyps, Starburst polyps, Sunburst polyps, Pink Polyps,Teal Polyps, Green Polyps, Galaxea, Green Goniopora, Red Shroom, Green/Blue Ricordea shrooms, Green Blastomussa Merletti.
