My above post was an answer to this specific question. *Certainly no offense meant. *I've had three tanks with no ich or velvet, knock on wood.

5 gallons is an industry standard from which to start. *All tanks are different, but it is better to add in the future than overstock at the present time. *As Matt says here "Go slow and let it grow", a very wise mantra *Bioload is a large determinate and so is the maturity of the tank which is corallery to the bifiltration capacity. *I always error on the safe side with my recommendatons.
