From what I've been hearing from others, I'd stay away from the Prism as they are finicky and loud.

A Remora would do nicely and once you set the cup at the right height, they are pretty 'set and forget.' At least mine is. With a MaxiJet 1200 pump it's not that loud.

I guess you could turn it off at night, but the pH in your tank and in the skimmer would drop. Technically for that reason, it would make more sense if you were going to do that at all, to turn it off during the day and run at night.

But that's not what you want! So I say keep it on.
