Seachem's Reef Plus [glow=Brown, 1, 80%]Concentrated Vitamin & Amino Acid Supplement
I included that part of the label because I thought it was significant. *How many of YOU take Vitamins every day? *How many of you take or drink some form of Amino Acid Supplement every day? *Uh-huh. *That's what I thought. *You are willing to shell out your money for yourself for vitamins and amino acids, but corals and fish? *Forget about it. *They don't need it. *Right?[smiley=wink3.gif]
Wrong. *You basically have them sitting in a vitamin and amino acid deprived environment. *It's like, man I feed them, that ought to be enough. *How many times have you heard that you should be soaking your food in vitamins before you feed it to your fish?? *And what about your corals and your filter feeding animals? *What are they going to do for food?
Well, I would go out and buy, Reef Plus, Reef Trace. *That would be a GREAT START for any of your invertebrates that filter feed from the water column. *If you wanted to add some of the strained liquid from your ground up reef-mix (that we made in another post), you will have another great addition to the filter feeder's diet. *And if you have a refugium full of caulerpa, or some other algae, they are getting an adequate source of phytoplankton from the plants in your tank and refugium.
Just make sure they get enough vitamins and amino acids they need to process all this food. *Just as human being need vitamins and amino acids, so do your reef critters. *Don't deprive them of this absolutely necessary part of their diets.[/glow]
Edit: I forgot to tell you, my next review is Reef Trace
