Default Re: Tunze Skimmer

Good question, I'm wonderring that too(worth the extra $). I installed one on a friends tank back in Feb, and have had several problems. Tunze USA was really helpfull. I got a model that had a teflon bushing and it expanded, slowing pump down. They replaced that and gave me a new impellar for it, how cool. Adjusting has been a chore, mainly because my friend can't, and I can only get over there weekly. I've had a lot of contact with other Tunze users, all were real happy with them and hadn't had my problems. Everyone is allowed a few bad ones. The 4 big things they have going for them are 1. size 2. Plankton safe 3. QUIET 4. comes with pump(completelly repairable, even has a replacable inner sleeve). Negative point, over rated on processing power, but all companys in this biz do that.
